Alison and Paul Forhead and Tom Hasaart apparently were paying attention – or at least gave a good show of making us think so.

The archery teams at the FNPS 2004 sports event debate the wisdom of standing in an open horse arena while lightening strikes outside and it chucks it down with rain. Play was abandoned after the competitors could no longer see the target and the horses had fled.

The Dutch were supremely confident about winning – but the judges were concerned that Gerry’s hat counted as a weapon of mass destruction

Ilias Nistos telling the Red team how the play was going to go down in the soccer competition in order to win.

Even when the judges turned out the lights to add to the spice – or was that the stampeding horses and lightening?
Kiwi’s Justin Dean and Sherly George bravely battle on in the darkness- while the sensible Brit Helena Gardiner in the background quietly suggests that a quick stroll back down to the bar might be the better win. Just in case you were in any doubt – play was abandoned and the bar won.
